EVGA has finally lifted the veil on the declination FTW its GeForce GTX 680. To recall, the manufacturer announced models with intermediate Superclocked and Signature. Now therefore the upscale version of the constructor takes up a major part of his little sister by inflating the GPU yet. The look of this one, at least its cooling system is strictly the same as that of Superlocked Signature brand, and we can see that the manufacturer has taken a similar design with the white stripe on the top part of it. Side overclocking the GPU is boosted again. While the basic version is clocked at 1006 MHz, 1058 MHz and up in turbo mode, this version is FTW 1110 MHz, 1176 MHz and this starts the turbo at once. Also note that the manufacturer offers two versions: one with 2 GB of GDDR5 and the other with 4 GB. The first frequencies are again pushed to be indicated 1552 MHz while the 4 GB model is at 1502 MHz.

The manufacturer has made some changes to the side of the PCB. The power stage, which is five-phase digital (PWM) on the other cards comes here with the eight phases. This should provide more headroom in overclocking. By cons, the manufacturer has not touched the two power connectors side: they remain at 6 and 8 pins, like on other models in the range. Other than this the output connectors are identical: two DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI 1.4a. I know that the backplate house supposed to improve the cooling performance but this is only on the GTX 680 FTW with 4 GB of RAM.

The EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Superclocked + backplate is a high-end graphics card with the GeForce GTX 680 GPU from NVIDIA. The GPU is based on the 28 nm chip GK104 manufactured with "Kepler" architecture. Compared to the GTX 500-series (Fermi) Kepler brings some new features, it has the GeForce GTX 680 through a dynamic clock adjustment, which can automatically increase the clock in demanding games. Furthermore, the new antialiasing mode TXAA provides a significant increase in image quality with little performance degradation. Nor can now be controlled with up to four monitors. This is built-in on the EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Superclocked + Backplate GPU has 1536 shader units and is clocked at 1058 MHz (boost clock to 1113 MHz), the 2 GB of GDDR5 memory on connected via a 256-bit memory controller and works with 1552 MHz (6208 MHz effective data rate).

Re: Backplate in Stock for EVGA GTX 680

The normal GTX 680 FTW costs $ 570, the FTW + 4GB of memory and a backplate is sold for $ 630. In addition to the standard edition we could also Superclocked, FTW, and Classified Hydro Copper versions expect. The Superclocked and Hydro Copper are available for a while, and they added the two EVGA for the Win editions to its range. The FTW edition has a GPU clock of 1.110MHz 1.176MHz clock with a boost. Depending on the model chosen, there is 2GB of GDDR5 memory at 6.208MHz (effective) or 4GB on 6.008MHz on the video card. When you get the 4GB edition there is also a backplate. Both cards require an eight-pin and one six-pin power connector.

Re: Backplate in Stock for EVGA GTX 680

The backplate fits naturally on EVGA GTX 680Ti's own but would also be suitable for models from other manufacturers. According to the manufacturer, they provide the back plate for improved heat dissipation, on the back of the card, and it would also be the image for a reinforcement of the PCB. Graphics card manufacturer EVGA has recently been busy in addition to graphics cards and motherboards several accessories for its products on the market.

The product is easy to install according to EVGA, because it only needed about nine screws to remove the card and purchased the backplate with nine screws from the back of the card assembly.
