With the release of so many 600 series graphic card the 400 and 500 serious of card become more cheaper so it won’t matter what you but among this both , if you ask me I would like to suggest you to get the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560. Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 is a product with a good performance / price ratio and can be adapted to many PC users, but looking around it is difficult to recommend this card sight unseen, without first doing the right considerations. While the price around 150 Euros and the performance of Nvidia's GeForce GTX 560, compared to the other party AMD, are practically identical, or you can get the Radeon HD 6870 , the fact that the Radeon HD 6870 is the lower power consumption, very important factor in this market segment. Finally, it seems fair to remember that with a few dollars more, you can buy higher end video cards like GeForce GTX 560 Ti or ATI Radeon HD 6950.

There will be the two card that can well suit you namely Nvidia GeForce GTX 480 and GeForce GTX 470. Both cards are based on the same GPU, Fermi, who has given a hard time at the firm chameleon. I must admit that the chip is complex with no less than 3 billion transistors, all engraved in 40 nanometers at TSMC. The GeForce GTX 480 and GTX 470 uses a single chip, the famous GF100. Basically this new GPU has 512 cores, but the GTX 480 uses only 480 and 470 448. Indeed on 16 SIMD available in GF100, 15 are activated for 480 and 14 for 470. Each entity has 32 CUDA cores, 48 KB of shared memory and 16KB of L1 cache. These are grouped into 16 SIMD cluster of four with one engine for each rasterization.

These two cards offer large amounts of memory: 1536 MB of GDDR5 384-bit bus on to the GTX 480 and 1280 MB of GDDR5 320-bit bus on to the GTX 470. In terms of frequency, the GTX 480 runs at 700 MHz core, 1401 MHz for the shader processors and 1848 MHz memory, or 924 MHz. The GTX 470 for its part offers a GPU clocked at 607 MHz, the shader processors at 1215 MHz and 837 MHz memory running at. Side input / output, Display Port Nvidia forget that the Fermi supports. It was therefore entitled to two DVI ports and mini-HDMI port. These cards is compatible with SLI, PhysX, 3D Vision, DirectCompute, DirectX 11, but also a the 3D Surround Vision.

The GeForce GTX 560 is based on the same GPU as the GeForce GTX 560 Ti. This GF114 GPU is the successor to the GF104, the chip of the well-known GeForce GTX 460. the GeForce GTX 560 Ti GPUs are both entirely consistent in terms of specifications and are architecturally identical. The GF114, however, some optimizations are and therefore what is faster and more economical. The GF114 has 384 shader units or Cuda cores as Nvidia calls them. GeForce GTX 560 Ti 384 cards, all of these units actually selected. In today launched GeForce GTX 560, however, a number of tripping and there are only 336 active, the same as the GeForce GTX 460 though. It lies directly to the large difference between the GTX 560 and GTX 560 Ti. The GeForce GTX 560 are the default clock frequencies 800 MHz for the GPU and 1000 MHz for the memory, a tiny fraction less. Incidentally, most manufacturers will directly overclocked variants on the market, as ASUS has done with the card we received. nVidia GeForce GTX 560 requires: 925 MHz for the GPU instead of 800 MHz and 1050 MHz for the memory instead of 1000 MHz. That's a 15% overclock of 5%, so you can expect the card about 10% faster in practice, a standard GeForce GTX 560. It is clear that the GF114 chip at high clock frequencies it gets very hot, because we see the ASUS DirectCU II cooler on other cards better results. However, this cooler weather remarkably quiet 41 dB (A) measured at 10 inches is really very quiet.

I recommend Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 which has the GF104 and GF114 is the course based on the now well-known Fermi architecture and supports DirectX 11. It's already that drives him to the GeForce GTX 560 Ti. Except that its characteristics are revised for the model without suffix and thus the number of stream processors increased from 384 to 336. The number of texture units is also lower: only 56 against 64 and the number of ROP units remains constant at 32 for a 256-bit memory bus. the GeForce GTX 560 features are identical to the GeForce GTX 460. Only frequencies differ! And yet for the real operating frequencies it took control. NVIDIA recommends a 810 MHz processor frequency for the GeForce GTX 560 (it is much more than the GeForce GTX 460) and a memory frequency of 1002 MHz (900 MHz against previously).

GeForce GTX 560 chip whose operating frequency is higher than the frequencies recommended by NVIDIA. But only slightly. Gigabyte GPU clock at 830 MHz against 810 MHz recommended. This gives us the stream processors operating at 1660 MHz. Side of the memory, we find 1 GB of GDDR5 and Hynix are the components that are present on the map. Their frequency is entirely consistent with those set by NVIDIA 1002 MHz. the GeForce GTX 560 is 18% faster than GeForce 1024 GTX 460 MB The performance gap with the Ti model is fairly clear, the latter taking with a score greater than 14%. For its part the Radeon HD 6870 displays a score comparable to the GeForce GTX 560 Ti and thus superior to the GeForce GTX 560 reference. At its basic frequencies the GeForce GTX 560 OC Gigabyte is barely faster than the reference model, however the model SO offers a performance gain of 10%.

The GeForce GTX 560 448 Cores Ti I s my pick its differs from the GeForce GTX 570 by disabling a block of 32 computer units. The GPU has 16 GF110, configuration of the GeForce GTX 580, but this number is reduced to 15 for the GeForce GTX 570 and 14 for the newcomer. It is therefore set back by only 7% in terms of processing power, while it retains the same memory bandwidth. The GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores can also be seen as an overclocked GeForce GTX 470. GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores, however, has a computing power slightly higher GPU and a better position to maximize its performance. More importantly, it has an architecture significantly less limited in terms of pixel rate and triangles, with a gain of more than 50%, and a memory bandwidth up 18% through the use of a 320-bit memory bus. It is also spending the video memory from 1024 to 1280 MB. Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores performance is excellent, very close to those of the GeForce GTX 570 and similar to the Radeon HD 6970. It can push the graphics options in demanding games such as Battlefield 3. performance ratio similar to other models of this high-end segment.

Yeah the The GeForce GTX 550 Ti is equipped with the new GF116 produced on 40nm chip, a descendant of the GF114 (GeForce 560 Ti) and GF110 (GeForce GTX 570/580). In fact, the GF116 GF106 a new revision of the chip, which formed the basis for the aforementioned GeForce GTS 450, as said the forerunner of today introduced the card. features a 192-bit memory and requires a PEG-6 power supply. The number of shaders is literally half the number in the GeForce GTX 560 Ti 384 shaders on board. The GTX 550 Ti reference card is equipped with 1 GB of GDDR5 memory; models with more or less memory are not yet on the schedule. nVidia's reference PCB design is just under 21 inches long and gives the GTX 550 Ti a TDP of 116W. The default clock frequencies of the GTX 550 Ti is 900 MHz for the GPU, 1800 MHz for the shaders and 1025 MHz for the memory. GTX 560 Ti works at frequencies of 822, 1644 and 1002 (4008) MHz shader core and memory respectively. The GTX 550 Ti standard operates at 900, 1800 and 1025 (4100) MHz . its the mid-range Nvidia. The based on chip GF114 (336 active stream processors), GeForce GTX 560 Ti, GF114 replaces the GeForce GTX 470 .

Compared to the GeForce GTX 560 Ti, to which it is bound only by a questionable nomenclature, the comparison is more complex given the different architecture of their respective GPUs. The GF114 has been optimized to deliver a strong performance in the game, at lower cost. To do this, it has a powerful texturing identical to the full GF110. In configurations in here, this gives the GeForce GTX 560 Ti Classic a distinct advantage on this point. The GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores, however, has a computing power slightly higher GPU and a better position to maximize its performance. The Asus 1GB GeForce GTX 560TI DirectCUII PCI-E Graphics Card should be perfect . Super Alloy Power is a technology that uses specially formulated alloys for critical components involved in dispensing power. This choice provides a performance improvement of 15% and a temperature at rest below 35 ° C, which translates into a length 2.5 times greater. DirectCU II Based on the architecture ASUS DirectCU, which uses heat-pipe copper in direct contact with the GPU, to speed up the heat dissipation in order to obtain lower temperatures up to 20%, system flanked by two fans 100mm that increase of the 600 % the air flow. Voltage Tweak - A technology that allows to increase the voltage of the card by Asus Smart Doctor, with consequent increase of clock speeds of up to 50%. Splendid Video Intelligence Function suitable optimization of colors in different ways, with five pre-loaded settings: standard, game, scenery, lighting and poor film. GPU is very easy through a slider to increase the core clock of the video card and tension. It is easy to reach the 1000MHz frequency while maintaining a degree of stability, so as to enable me to perform the Benchmark without problems. Bringing it to 1200MHz, instead, the card has become unstable.

The positive note is that even with values "off scale", the hardware does not block the whole system but only the application that is running (in our case, the benchmark), and it falls back to default after a blackscreen. The use of the software then presents two advantages: preservation is the board that if a crash is reset to values running, and the time saved not having to reboot the system to set the values manually.
