The defective Nvidia GPUs are built in 14 models of the VAIO notebook series. You can loosen due to faulty components from the motherboard and thus provide for any errors or put the laptop completely paralyzed. Sony offers the owners an opportunity to repair their device for free if you encounter within four years after purchase of the problems with video playback. According to Sony, only a few devices are affected by the quality problems.

Whatsoever equipped on Vaio notebooks with Nvidia GPUs potentially interested in the problem, why it seemed that the purchase of a Sony Vaio laptop could put safe from any inconvenience. And 'these days the news that some Vaio laptops may be affected by problems encountered is identical to those of its competitors, with potentially faulty video chip.

I have heard that this problem is not only with Sony but other major manufacturers are also hit by a same crisis. They have already began to launch free exchange programs, or at least with BIOS updates, which provide a higher fan speed to prolong the life of the graphics chips but Sony had been kept striking back. The problems are just the model series GPUs NVIDIA GeForce 8400M and 8600M concern. The new chip, the GeForce 9-series does not have any kind of issues like this.

The problems are obvious, as in the case brought to light last year: distorted images, characters and ghost black images, evident especially in combination with high temperatures. Sony in any case does not appear to have acted "in bad faith," as it said to take charge of the hardware replacement and all that follows, in order to return the defective laptops to their normal operations. Sony said it was available to perform interventions with the time limit of four years from date of purchase, if the problems are typical of those actually defective Nvidia mobile GPU.

The sony has took such a long time to give service to its customers. Anyway finally they came up with the better solution to impress its customers. I think that no other manufactures has brought such a great offer to customers. I really raise hand in this regards for Sony.
