AMD Radeon HD 7970 vs. Nvidia GeForce GTX 680

Hello friends, does wanted to know how many of you thinking to use AMD 7970 on future Ivy Bridge builds. Even I also wanted to know that it is been worth to have it or not, well if you are going according to rumors then it is telling GTX 680 may be coming out soon as well? If I say the truth then I do not know that it is really worth to upgrade as it was given that 1155 and 2011 socket types were fairly recent and GTX560-GTX590 would not go obsolete for another year or so on. It is sure that this specification will be seems to be at high end, if you people have to take decision then what it might be. Thank you.

Well someone has told that Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 will be $400 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 690 will be $500. I really waiting for Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 which will be available for $229 and after that I will wait for whatever is after IB or even later than that. Well I think will be waiting and see what the next gen consoles and I am know what hardware new games are going to be aimed/based on.

There is completely no way that the 680 will be price at $400. It was been given that7970 pricing, the 680 will approximately certainly come with a launch price tag of $700 (650-750). Even wanted to that it has a high bandwidth and higher clock, I find it incredibly difficult to believe that mid range 6xx cards will outperform a 7970 as the rumor has been stating. I would say that you do not take tension about it and I do not believe it. As you say wait to hear it from the horse’s mouth. $220/£150 for a 660 would be nice, but I'm playing the waiting game. The 560 wasn't really a progression from the 460, just a refresh, hopefully the reason is everyone is busy with keplar & Maxwell.

Well it is not like that the fat lady sings and all I listen to so far is crickets chirping. Perhaps for the reason that Nvidia does not similar to how awesome the 7970 is, perhaps since they got amazing improved up their sleeve, but until it comes on the market it’s just so much blue smoke and mirrors.

We don’t even know the details of the 680 yet so it’s no picnic to tell which is determined to be preferable and as you expressed cost should be calculated then again if that piece is anything to go by in terms of exhibition the GTX680 could be to a small extent second rate to the HD7970.
