AMD Radeon HD 7970 benchmark results

The AMD Radeon HD 7970 achieved significant results in current game titles. All games tested with the full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and very high or ultra high settings of the respective games. Even synthetic benchmarks like 3D Mark 11, Unigine Heaven 2.5, 11.5 and Cinebench 3D Mark Vantage were used. This is all due to its 1125 MHz on the core and 6300 MHz on the memory and there is no use of voltage tweaking. I think that it is will create a new milestone. Even if you add little voltage you will not notice many changes in temperatures and the noise level is extremely low. I am impressed with this card and its results. What about you?

I have tried the synthetic benchmarks and her also the results are very good: 3D Mark 11 is among the promising Extreme presets (at 1920 x 1080 pixels) to a high score of 2669th In Heaven benchmark from Unigine in version 2.5 with the Radeon 7970 achieved an average frame rate tessellation of 62.9 for the full HD resolution. DirectX 10, it was then, of course, something more, namely 79 images / s The extensive graphics test of 3DMark Vantage supplied from a high score of 22 863 points. Here, however, factors such as the computing power of the processor involved.

AMD's Radeon HD 7970 has only been now officially available , nevertheless, the processor had been already for some to have overclocking record. To page the graphics cards were ever on the benchmark, the Core i7-990x, the Core i7-2600K and the Core i7-3960X - each course heavily overclocked. Even with AMD's flagship pixels left it not in the standard settings. Here, the values ranged from "lean" 1000 MHz to 1780 MHz By comparison, the reference clock of the card is only 925 MHz.

The dissipation of 7970 Black Edition is the higher of XFX 7970 . XFX is to take the plates are for AMD to give its line of Black Edition overclocking an impressive launch day. The 7970 start with the core of 1000MHz (8% overclock) and memory to 5.7GHz (4% overclock), in what is proving to be quite overclockable design for AMD. Note that they are doing without any of the extra stress - both our reference and term to 1.17v BEDD 7970s - which means the consumption of energy BEDD is only marginally higher than the reference 7970 .

A graphics card may be customized either in the cooling system or at the level of the PCB, or both at the same time. For most of the Radeon HD 7950 available at launch, manufacturers have taken the reference PCB produced in the factory of their choice with components of their choice. They are content and to modify the cooling system.

3DMark Vantage scales to three cards nice and round, the fourth card score does not increase very much. 53,879 points is ultimately the highest score. The 45,960 points of the two cards already give a nice taste of what we might expect in the future. 3DMark11 in Extreme mode scales very well across all configurations. Just less than 10,000 points we get four tickets, a big step forward compared to the 2,745 points of a single card. The scaling from one to two cards is almost 100%.

I found neat performance in BF3, too bad that it crashes with 4 cards. But the people who buy 2 of these whoppers can be satisfied with the performance gains!
