Apple TV 2 with Denon AVR1910

I am posting this here with the hope that I will get some help from here. I am having the HDMI and Optical inputs with the Denon. I want to ask that will all the things just pass through. I am asking this because amp is only having one HDMI output that is previously connected to my Samsung TV? Also tell me something about the quality of streaming audio output with this.

I am having the ATV2 as well as Denon receiver. I purchased the receiver about three years back and at that it was a low to mid price model, one otherwise two steps up as of the basic. My ATV2 is able to connect to 1 of 5 HDMI inputs and the video passes by means of audio while I switch to that input.

What you can do is, just try to use the ATV direct to the TV, if you are having a spare HDMI port as well as optical for sound toward the receiver. If this does not work then there is possibility that the HDMI "handshake" from the ATV through the receiver is not compatible or the ATV is not compatible.
