I wondering that there will be reduction into the performance however it will be dependent on the resolution and the game which you are supposed to play. If you are playing game at the ower resolution and settings then it will be handled by cpu. If you are playing the game at 1280X1024 resolution, it seems to be GPU bound.
Well I purchased the MSI TFII N570GTX PE/OC graphic card and I have overclocked 770 MHz to 815 MHz and tested with Unigine Heaven and 3DMark11 once I have done the same I got driver restarted error message on my computer. the issue was happening because OC has been exceeded the ability of the voltage of the card. Or the issue could be happening because of driver version?
The entire thing is dependent on the stock voltage. You can overclock without overvolting the graphic card or cpu. Also you should see the temperature of the hardware component installed on the system. you should overclock if you are supposed to use the stock freq as well as voltage for the day to day usage. You will not need to use automatic OC default volts or frequency. Personally I overclock manually. This card is really good and it will be helpful to get the good frame rate without overclocking the GPU.
