hello friends i just need bit help here. i just want to know that is it possible to connect 27" LED Cinema Display to a PC? because i just newly going to buy the Cinema Display and i already have imac. so can i do this? please provide me your useful information.

yes you can do this, but for that you need ATLONA AT-DP400 Dual Link DVI to Mini Display Port Converter. this will help you to do this very simply.

i dont know much about this but i must say that, the process is simple and requires no technical knowledge, although I must say that Apple and its policy of exclusivity it is becoming increasingly complicated.

In the previous model there was no problem because the same DVI connection available, a standard on any graphics card you can find, but in the current model the thing has changed, and does not have DVI video output in this case Mini-DisplayPort is by no graphics card and now the market comes with that port. Therefore, the only solution is to buy a graphics card that has DisplayPort and a Mini-DisplayPort adapter to DisplayPort.

its does not work for me. I have the ATI 5770, i connect the adapter and the picture does not work. As I read, Apple changed MiniDisplayPort inner cable (these are unique to Apple) making it impossible to remove the image from the PC on an Apple 27 "Cinema display. Have you tried it yourself?

i also searching for the same because one of my friend also want to do this stuff. so for that i just go through some books and some online content, but cant get much about this. its just said that, the error might come from the MDP to DP converter.

I had to buy an adapter Atlona AT-DP400, which brings me the image itself, though the maximum resolution that gives me is 1280 × 720, quite poor, with no possibility-that I know, to increase it. I am very annoyed with this, And there are very little information online about connecting a PC to an Apple Cinema Display.
