UPGRADE from Nvidia GeForce GT 320

Currently I am using the iextreme 5722. I know that is the not the best pc for gaming but it runs most of the game fine that is even at 1600 resolution. The system comes with gt320 gpu but now I am thinking about upgrading it to a better card for the reason that i read somewhere this is not a great card actually. I am soon going to install battlefield 3 so it will be necessary to meet all the recommended spec as well as requirements So that I can get good fps.

I prefer AMD more than Nvidia for BF3. With an AMD X4 965 Quad Core, and an AMD 6870 easily 70-80 FPS in full-HD resolution. On the default "high" were still around 50 frames per second, about 30 FPS on Ultra - this is mainly due to the higher anti-aliasing settings due, which are enabled by default to the higher graphics modes.

Battlefield 3 is very graphics-heavy, because there are tons of calculations per pixel - at least at maximum details. The frame rate in the usual resolutions stands and falls with your graphics card, a "small" quad-core processor encounters at least in single player mode, not an impossible challenge. For full details, including 4x MSAA at 1,920 x 1,080 (Full HD) should be at least a 250-euro-graphics card plug in your computer. Get Nvidia's GeForce GTX brace 560 for playable frame rates.

You need a good bug free driver more than a good GPU. Nvidia Geforce 285.62 is the "recommended driver" for the Battlefield 3 full version, with more performance with fewer bugs.

Battlefield 3 not only looks fantastic, the price-performance ratio of the image can also be seen. Owner of a DirectX 11 graphics card have the tools for maximum liquid and in principle also fun. Users of the current upper class, especially the Radeon HD 6970 and GTX 570 come only in small performance problems, while owners of an overclocked GeForce GTX 580 trips in the fields at 2,560 x 1,600 or 2880 x 1620 dare - to high frame rates, then you may not insist.

Now should be clear that for Battlefield 3 - graphics power is needed. The difference between your 470 and GTX 580/570 is clearly recommended in the detail or better on DX11 (!) If you enjoy the game in full splendor, you will want to come to a more powerful card as "absolute playable.

After three years of development, this new spectacular game is about to get ahead of the competition with the exclusive power of the engine Frostbite 2. A true technological leap forward, this new engine is the focal point that allows Battlefield 3 to provide superior performance in terms of animation, visual rendering, sound and physical destruction. Battlefield 3 is the only FPS market using Frostbite 2, and the only shooter able to give an aspect to the gameplay as realistic, with a visual and sound environment, travel, and an action worthy of a real battlefield.

The Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 looks quite good. Maybe I get a few more dollars for my old one.

To play with 1,920 x 1,080, and 16:1 AF 4xMSAA, you should call your own for at least a GeForce 560. This creates an average of 24.8 frames per second. Battlefield 3 is thus barely playable. The Radeon HD 6850, GeForce GTX 460 and GTS 450 delivered under the above settings values at an average of 22 FPS. Anyone who has installed a GeForce Ti 560, however, is pleased about average 27.2 FPS. The Radeon HD 6950 comes to 28.9 frames per second, the Radeon HD 6970 to 32.4, 32.9 and 57 is also the GTX, the GTX 580 at 36.5 fps.

The GTX 560 Ti with GF110 GPU has 448 shaders at 1460MHz while the GPU runs at 730MHz. The large 1280MB GDDR5 memory is clocked at 3800MHz (effective) and is connected to the GPU via a 320-bit memory. It would be 210 watts TDP amounts. Another advantage of the GPU is that GF110-3-way SLI is possible. The standard GTX 560 Ti is an SLI setup of up to two video cards.

On the home page of the graphics chip manufacturer they is testing your GPU to see whether your built on Battlefield 3 capability or not. This works directly in the browser and runs over a secure on-words Nvidia Java browser component. After a successful test this deleted directly by Windows Control Panel. It will only be read according to Nvidia hardware video card information. Personal data, which permits subsequent identification, remain untouched.
