COMPARISON between Dual GeForce GTX 560M SLI and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M with 3GB/2GB GDDR5 VRAM

I am willing to get a new laptop with a good gaming and graphic capabilities so I just wanted to know that which one is better from the following for GPU's configuration:
    • Dual 1.5GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M SLI
    • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M with 3GB/2GB GDDR5 VRAM
    • 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M

Any suggestion regarding this will be appreciated.

As far as I know and the taking the gaming in account the 560m cards in sli will be better than the single 560m but I think that rather than the gaming GTX 580m in a single application and the GTX 560m in sli will give you the same performance. I have been using the single graphics card on my laptop from a couple of month ago and I have found that it really helps to save battery life and even cut down the heat. If you want even you can try the same in your laptop. Single GTX 580m is really a good choice.

What I have found is that the Alienware m17x and the Origin EON 17 are one of the best Gaming Laptops of 2011 and they have the dual option as well. I have found that a single 560m 1,5GB or dual combinations like Dual 1,5GB 560m and Dual 2GB 580M are found to be working well with the Alienware m18x.I have not actually used them and these options were suggested to me by my friend who have tried both of them and now even I am willing to install the dual combinations on my laptop. Best of luck.

I won’t suggest you Alienware because I personally had a very bad experience with it. I was using it previously and just after a year I had to change everything and now I have built my own and I am just using it case because of the cool lighting. I have also found that the even install the parts which you would have not ordered and they charge you for the same as well. In my case I was charged for 1200watt power supply and they had actually installed 950watt and I have build a better one at the half price of what I had payed them. They had also installed a defective graphics card which I had to replace later but I did not had to pay them as it was a Nvidia 8700GT and the replacement was fast as it was under the warranty period.

I will suggest you to get the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M
And I will like to inform you that it has been claimed as fastest laptop GPU as well and if you are looking for gaming than this is the best option. It has a NVIDIA 3D Vision technology which is capable of converting 2D in to stereoscopic 3D and the NVIDIA 3DTV Play software in it is also capable of connecting 3D Vision-based notebooks to the 3D TVs and it is linked with two GTX GPUs which gives you the best performance and it also has a realistic NVIDIA PhysX engine. It has a NVIDIA Optimus in order to turn the GPU on and off to save the battery life and it has a NVIDIA CUDA architecture as well.
