Does Battlefield 3 beta version run on NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT?

First, I have no idea if BF 3 (Beta) will run on my GeForce 9600M GT, so I wanted to try the free beta version.

The game, as I said when I try to start it, the driver needs at least 285.27. However, I can not go further in 280.26. I tried to install 285.27 and 285.38, but the installation did not work. Both times ended with the message that no hardware device can be found.

My question is now the possibility of playing BF 3 Beta with a 9600M GT at all? And if not, there will be a future driver that makes it possible, or with all users 9600M GT be excluded from that game?

I have a MacBook Pro 17 with a graphics card 9600M GT, 4G DDR3 memory and a quad-core processor. I tried to install the beta drivers and I get an error" hardware not compatible and other trash. I cannot get the drivers just above 170. Can someone please help me? Where to find drivers for mobility card? Thanks

It took some searching on the internet to figure this one when the first beta BF3. The beta version is over, so I'm not sure how much help will be. For the record, I'm using a MacBook Pro 17 "Core 2 Duo processor and Nvidia 9600M GT GPU. Looks just like what you have, yourmama1.

My experience with BF3 beta was pretty bad. Lots of stuttering video, and I returned to the lowest setting possible. However, I came across this thread and thought I'd share what I learned.

    1) Go to proper site the name I don’t remember right now it’s something laptop video to go and download the driver you wish for. Confirm you get the right one for your operating system.

    2) Download the driver EXE and the INF files. These are together actually significant.

    3) Unzip the EXE file with WinRAR or somewhat like that. Sounds strange, although do it. It should unpack into a folder.

    4) look the original nvwi.inf file in the folder you presently unpacked. Put back it with the fresh inf file you downloaded. This will let your Mac install the driver.

    5) Look for the setup.exe file in the unpacked folder and execute that

That’s it you are fine to go now
