Resolution setback in Samsung 2494HS Monitor

I freshly need Samsung SyncMaster 2494HS screen for my HP Pavilion PC (running Windows 7 64 cycle). The screen's best determination is 1920 x 1080 but when I set it to this determination, something greater than part of the taskbar and part of the section of alternate hand screen symbols are cut off. I would be able to see the job bar and symbols in the event that I set the determination to 1768x992 but assuming that I do this, I consistently get the note that my screen is not situated to ideal determination (this content keeps up for a significant while).

Comparable with me so I reached Samsung Support but they unequivocally stated to peruse the manual. I've perused the manual but still lack the capacity to resolve it. Utilizing the OSD, I need to make flat and vertical modification but obviously this can just be finished in Analog Mode and I cannot decipher how to get into Analog Mode.

The screen is joined to the machine with a HDMI link which the producer has furnished with screen the same time as buy and they stated to utilize to associate the screen to the PC. At the machine, the HDMI link join to the workstation utilizing a HDMI to DVI connector.
(An outline challenge with this screen is that it is entirely troublesome to see the controls on this screen; they are under its lowest part right hand side; I utilize a mirror to see them.)
I've downloaded the most recent drivers (utilizing Device Manager) for the screen and movie card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260). Could someone please help me with my determination situation?

Re: Resolution setback in Samsung 2494HS Monitor

I have detached the HDMI and joined and joined up the screen utilizing the DVI link that went together with it and now it appears to work fine.

The HDMI link was one of the sweeteners which the archive utilized to influence me to purchase the HP workstation which they proclaimed as joining a HP screen which they didn't have in stock so they offered me the Samsung at a critical rebate. The HP PC doesn't have a HDMI socket, thus the connector. Well now I've got a spare HDMI link for which cheerfully I would be able to identify a utilization. Much obliged again for your promote; I'll no longer get the suboptimal determination warning annihilating the screen.

I had the same issue-and utilizing a DVI associations illuminates it excluding my screen in some cases doesn't discover the indicator on DVI, and I need to reboot, additionally as I too anticipated the HDMI to work. I actually utilize HDMI on the flatter showcase setting now as it is more straightforward.

Re: Resolution setback in Samsung 2494HS Monitor

Consistent with Samsung, its in reality a reinstatement of the 2493HM. The fundamental contrast is the determination: the 2493HM has a local 1920x1200 (that would be 16:10, the standard proportion for broad-screen workstations), while the 2494HS has a local 1920x1080 (this is 16:9, the accurate HD standard determination for TV, movie, and so on). And then appreciatively the cost is respectably easier than the 2493HM, which is consistently delightful!
At the instant, they are ready from UMart, and are soon to be ready at MSY, right around more than enough others. Keep your eyes out, and cheerfully Samsung will upgrade their homepage soon to give full coverage to this screen, and evacuate the finish-of-line 2493HM. Trust that aides any prospective purchasers!
