Hey guys I am looking to install a smart GPU on my motherboard that will help me to get the best performance while playing all the different types of games and even with all the new kind of a applications. But I would want to make it clear that I am low on budget and that is why I am looking for this Palit GeForce GTX 460, so can someone highlight whether this is a right choice or not, I am having AMD Athlon X2 2.7ghz along with 2GB RAM.

Hey dude it is surely a very good choice if you are looking to get everything at a affordable rate, The tested Palit model with 1,024 MB of GDDR5 VRAM based on the GF104-GPU 336 Stream processors and works. The manufacturer overclocked the model of the house. The GPU is clocked at 800 MHz, therefore, (default: 675 MHz), the shader at 1600 MHz (default: 1350 MHz) and memory at 1000 MHz (default: 900 MHz). Nvidia is different in the two published models for the memory interface. Which we tested with 1,024 MB of map accordingly has a 256-bit, the 768-MB version is a 192-bit interface.

The Palit GTX 460 pretty strong values. In the Performance Preset of 3DMark Vantage, they reached 15 824 points, the Extreme preset still good 7699 points. 3DMark 2006 it achieved under standard settings very good 21 283 points. The values of the synthetic benchmark tests confirm the games: Far Cry 2 runs with the GTX 460 at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and activated eight times anti-aliasing (8xAA) with 68 frames per second - a great value! In Crysis Warhead, the card comes with the same configuration to just under 25 frames per second, whereas in DirectX 10 mode of the benchmark mode of Stalker, for most of games this is surely the best we can ever get.

Interestingly, Palit GTX 460 test especially in the disciplines of the other high-end GPU GF100 Fermi's so unattractive to make. And here Nvidia has rectified definitely excellent. In 3D mode the map is an average of 76 Celsius degrees hot - no comparison to the more than 100 degrees of the GTX 470 and GTX 480th Even with the current content to the GTX 460 with much less. At idle the entire system draws just 104 watts, in Far Cry 2 value rises to 321 watts. The bottom line is the GTX 460, the first DirectX 11 card from Nvidia, the competition can keep up with - in all respects.

In the Palit card we can simply have everything that is performance, price, power consumption and loudness can consistently impressive. Only under load the card draws a lot of electricity that basic Fermi-architecture are expected to insert them. The Palit GeForce GTX 460 Platinum Sonic we have our new test system based on the Intel Core i7 tested with 980X. The test results you our best list of PCIe graphics cards can take based not on the previous test system.
