Which one is better 6970 or 6990?

I hope you all are pretty clear with the topic after reading the title above, both the cards are said to be quite competitive in the market, however it is not sure that when the card 6990 will be releasing? So any of you who knows when the card is going to be released then do let me know. Now coming back to the main topic. If the 6990 card is released then what do you think will it be worth going with that particular card? I have heard that the 6970 is a good card and it is sure to offer a good competition to 6990. So anyone here who are willing to clear out my confusion about which one is the better then do let me know about it.

Since the 6990 is not yet released it will be unfair to comment on that. So I would advice you to wait for some time and see when will be the official release date of the card will be releasing. If it is releasing soon then it would be good news for us. We would be happy to review such product and then inform you all. So as of now wait and watch would be the best option according to me. so this is my point of view on this particular topic and I hope you are pretty clear about my suggestion.

I have the 5850 card with me. I am very happy with the card and I think that there is no need of going with the 6970 card. This is what I have to say here. One more thing that I would like to say here and that is concerned with the main topic. It is that the 6970 is a good card with the 2Gb internal memory space. So you can expect some good performance from it. so if you are in a hurry to get a new card then I would advise you to select the 6970. However if you can wait for a day or so then the 6990 will be releasing on march 8th. So the final decision would be yours, you can select anything.

I will be reading the review carefully and then only deciding to go with the other cards. As of now my current card 5870 is the best one. so unless and until if any of the two cards are giving me a 15-20% improvement in the performance when compared to the current card then only I will select the 6970 or the 6990. Depending upon the prices. So that is what I have to say here. I know you have asked which one would be better, but if the 6990 is not released yet then it will be unfair to comment on that topic.

I would be definitely opting for the 6970. Since it is officially available now. You cannot say anything about the 6990 since it is not released yet. One thing for sure is that after the release of the 6990 the prices of the 6970 will surely be coming down. So if you are thinking of going with the 6970 now then I would advice you to wait for some time till the next release of the 6990. I think that will be the mush suitable option for you. So do try it and let me know if that works or not.

6970 is the most popular card in the market these days and i think that gong with the 6970 would not be a bad option but still my vote does goes with the 6990 card. I think that will be an impressive card from the radeon and I think it will be worth waiting for the card. It is said that it will definitely e much ahead of its predecessors like the 6970. So expect some raw performance with this card. So according to me you must wait for some time and I have heard that the official release date will be on 8th march of this year. So do wait and see.

Ok, I have read all your opinions and I think it will be worth waiting for the 6990 card. At first I was pretty sure of going with the 6970 but after reading the above suggestion I think it will not be any problem if I wait for some time till the 6990 is officially released.
