    NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS with 42" LCD

    Hi to everyone. Hope you can help me. I have an Intel core 2 duo pc R4600 2.40 GHz 1GB of RAM with Windows Vista and the subject plate. At this moment I have connected the vga output to a Philips LCD 42 "and I think I see perfectly 720p. So my question is, with the vga cable I can see in 1080? In the resolution of screen, which displays the config options? NVIDIA lets choose a maximum:
    * 1360 X 768 (NATIVE) - THE BEST THAT YOU CAN SEE, and 1280 x 1024 (recommended) - EXPANDS LONG-IMAGE
    * 60 Hz refresh rate (in the nvidia site says up to 80hz)
    In this I want to know that do I need DVI output to see in 1080? DVI - HDMI?

    As far as I know VGA cable does support 1080. But maybe your VGA does not support this resolution and to put the cable that you put, you will not be able to have that resolution. In addition, a 7300 GS to penalties will make you walk the PC at this resolution (if you come to work). So whatever I know related to this I have explained over here and I hope this will help you. But ya if you get the solution after trying this then please inform me over here.

    I have a OKI LCD TV 15 ", 1366x768, sometimes used as an auxiliary monitor ACER notebook and a netbook COMPAQ. Both not detected as PnP monitor. With the ACER yes I can use it to its native resolution But the netbook jumps me the option to 1280x1024 1400x1050 (this will use it at 1280x768, is the best way I see it). If the TV will not recognize it as a monitor Plug and Play. And it will not necessarily allow me to put the native resolution. A small comment: The TV is HD Ready and with both computers I can put 1600x900 and 1920x1080 resolutions. Is relatively well worth to watch movies in HD, but of course, to work in those ways you burn the eyes.

    Of course the 42 "LCD I have is HD READY AND SAYS NATIVE RESOLUTION 1360 X 768 resolution is definitely improving looks. But I still could not see any full HD movie to verify that it can increase the resolution, I'll try buying a DVI to HDMI cable to see if it changes. I have search the solution for this issue on many of the forum site but till now I am not able to get any perfect solution which can fix my issue.

    Sorry to insist but I doubt since it generates the Vga cable hz SAYS SUPPORT 60HZ and plate (according to NVIDIA specifications) supports 80 hz to send data to the LCD and the same source supports a resolution a lot higher. It may be that in some cases, changing the connection to detect it as a TV instead of monitor? So whatever I know related to this issue I have mentioned over here and I hope this will help you in order to fix your issue.
