ATi SurroundView with AMD 790GX and 2 Radeon HD4850

I have a small question about ATi's SurroundView. I hope that I will get the accepted answer for this. My request is to have 3 DVI monitors. For this multi monitor setup I choose 790GX/SB750 + HD4850 (DVI x2) configuration. But I don’t know is it a best choice or not. My question is to work with SurroundView should I need HD3xxx series card? Is there any other options? I like some of the things in HD4850 but will this combination do some more magic? I am just confused regarding this. Can anyone help me out?

I know what stuffs you had liked in HD4850. Many people likes about the UVD2 feature in this. If you can manage to pay for a high value, get 790FX and HD4850X2. That will furnish you four DVI, depart you one slot to adjoin one more 4850X2 or 4850 card for a few gap to upgrade, and it is cheaper than two separate graphic cards. So the choice is yours if you are looking forward for future update.

I am using that amalgamation with gigabyte motherboard and sapphire card. It is working in an interesting form. The issue I got is the onboard chip was not accepted by CCC in anticipation of I permit surround view in my BIOS. I also noticed that there is not hybrid crossfire option on CCC yet. Works only for 2400 or 3400 series card in Vista. So I think the two GPUs might have been functioning independently as a replacement for of being in crossfire approach in my PC while I enclose XP. I am not certain if a CCC bring up to date would secure that.

The 785G, 880G and 890GX are a lot of confusing with Hybrid Crossfire (HCF) and ATI’s Surround View. The alternative options are
    • You can get a hold of multiple displays running without a HCF companionable set up
    • ATI/AMD states that Surround View is scalable. The possibility that if one had 2 x PCIe slots and a IGP in theory you might constrain 2 x 3 = 6 displays.
