Need information for Radeon HD 5870 vs. GTX 460 vs. GTX 285

Instead of beating around the bush I will straight forward come to the point, I want to buy a gaming laptop and I have finalized that. I am not having problem in selecting laptop but facing problem in selecting the graphic card for the laptop. The thing is that this laptop is coming with any of the three graphic cards, I am having option for Radeon HD 5870, GTX 460 and GTX 285. So want to know which is the best graphic card from these three? I will be waiting for the related reply.

It will be better to compare with the additional GPU-acceleration of all tests on a simple office PC with an old and slow nForce610i chipset Geforce 7050 onboard graphics with no dedicated memory included. On the board as a test put the same CPU and 4GB RAM, Windows was also used 7 x64. In addition, we anticipate the further tests and make the HD 5870 compared to the predecessor in the form of 4870. Here are all the candidates closely. Interestingly, however, that with the possible 2D hardware acceleration under Aero in the HD 5870, a slight loss of power occurs; catch up while the Nvidia card can. ATI loses, Nvidia accelerated slightly. However, Nvidia needs to be asked why the old onboard graphics in 2D renders faster than a GTX 285, also fails if the difference is rather small.

I did not believe at first, but the HD is not even close in 5870 capable of flying with useful hardware accelerated performance show! During the two test candidates lie together without possible 2D hardware acceleration is still acceptable, the activation of Aero gapes a daunting gap. The GTX 285 is faster by a factor of 11 than the HD 5870, which explains the complete failure of the ATI card in all tested 2D applications. The values of the HD 4870 differ little between Aero and Basic. The card is considerably weaker than a GTX 285 and the onboard solution, but even in un-accelerated state still noticeably better than the HD 5870 we note that there is with the current Catalyst in conjunction with the HD 4870 is no hardware acceleration of the lines in Windows 7.

The HD 5870 breaks through the floor, proving once again the (current) unsuitability for 2D applications. That is, even for home users, not the least tolerable. Enabled Aero interface and the DWM higher by a factor of 9 performance of the GTX 285 is almost a punishment. The old onboard graphics humiliates the new ATI card as well and is even without GPU acceleration much faster than the HD 5870! Interestingly, however, the behavior of the HD 4870 Curves is accelerated, in contrast to the new card by the hardware, even if the result is compared to the Nvidia cards remains very modest.
