Which one is better:Radeon HD5550 or Geforce GT 220?

I have have got a laptop and its been a long time now. Presently i am thinking of upgrading my video card. I am presently running GeForce9400 GT video card on my laptop. Now i have two options for the up gradation. One choice is GeForce GT 220 while the other choice is Radeon HD 5550. Now i am pretty confused about both of them. Now give me some suggestions that will help me in buying a better choice for me. Please do reply as soon as possible.

I have heard about the Radeon HD 5550 which is launched by the AMD. I am a great fan of the radeon products. The earlier models like Radeon HD 5450,Radeon HD 5570 impressed me a lot. They are compatible with all the direct X11 products. The main feature of this product i.e.Radeon HD 5550 is that it will give you a noise less working environment. Due to its passive nature added with the zero noise feature it is the main candidate for quite media PC system. The memory is quite good and adds another plus point to the Radeon HD 5550. Priced at around $65. I think so its a bit expensive but you must go for it.

GT220 are the new versions of the lower end gaming cards introduced by the nvidia. It offers a compatibility with the direct10.1X products. Though these days many of the video cards are compatible with the Direct11 X products but it has an enhance version which allows to transmit hdmi data without the need of any data cables which is a great work in the media technology. Nvidia is a great manufacturer of the video cards and provides the memory of 1GB of DDR3 memory with the reference clocks. I would suggest you to go with the GT220 it will not let you down.

If you compare both of them then i would tell you something about both of them. If you compare the shader units of both of them then let me tell you there is a huge difference. Radeon has 320 while geforce has 48. which shows the clarity difference. Upon that the transmitor is 627M while geforce is 486M that will suggest you a good power the memory size of the radeon is much higher than geforce i.e. 1024 MB of raedon. Geforce scores well with the core clock and also the memory clock which shows it has a much betters speed than radeon. So the output will be much better with the geforce. the price is almost the same for both of them i.e. around 65K.
