9800GTX or 5770 Graphics card

Hi all, once again I am here to take suggestion from you all about gfx card. I am thinking to buy a new gfx card but I am confused between the different brands of graphic card available in the market and not able to decide any one of them. So can you please recommend me for the better graphic card? I am thinking to choose between Nvidia and Ati. Please post your suggestion. Thanks.

If I have to buy a graphic card then for me the specs of the card has high priority then the brand it belongs to. I don’t care about the brand of card. Graphic card should have good specs. If you go for Specs wise then ati 5770 will be the better option for you and in addition to that if you have Windows 7 then it will be smoother for you to use dx11. This was my opinion to you otherwise 9800GTX is also a good graphic card.

According to me ATI 5770 will be the better option for you. It has the better specs as posted earlier. It also has 40nm transistor and DX11 etc. As you told about Nvidia and Ati then I would like to tell you that both are good brands and they are producing the high quality of Graphic cards. You can go for any one of them. There may be a bit difference between the performance of those two but that will be negligible.

I think that a 5770 be an improvement over a 9800gtx. If we compare the graphic cards then we will find that 9800gtx will be equal to GTS 250 and over that it will be HD5750 and at the top we will find HD5770. It is not a very big improvement but it will be there in some extend. It will be around 15 to 20 %. For the ATI 5xx0 series you will also get DX11 support. I would not recommend anyone to upgrade to a HD5770 to a 9800GTX because it will not going to give very high performance gain.

Friend, I have upgraded to from 8800gt to 5770. It has 512mb model which is from powercolor but it is able to runs almost all the games in the better way than it was running in 8800gt. The games like red alert 3, you would not expect games performance. The only thing that I want is that the catalyst control center to delete to run my card properly.

ATI 5770 has left the 9800GTX a far behind as it comes with more advantage over 9800GTX. They are not in the same league. And if we talk about the performance then we will find that 9800GT will give slower performance then HD5750. We can compare it with HD 5670.
