Compal IFL90 GForce 8600M GT Graphic Problem

Hi guys,

Since yesterday I have a problem with the graphic on my IFL90 notebook.

Here is a picture of the current state:



It started with freezing of the whole system during 3D games. Also some
blue screens. I changed Drivers back and forth. Nothing fixed the problem.
Now I have the graphics totally messed up like in the picture. Even during
the boot menu the problem appears.

Now my question. Is this still a software problem or is the graphics card
broken?

My System:
- Core2Duo T8100 (2x2.1)
- 3GB RAM
- GForce 8600M GT 512MB
- Windows 7 Prof 32Bit

This looks like some major hardware issue in your system. The screen is totally scrambled due to bad display. The reasons for that can be a corrupt or outdated driver or bad graphic card. As you had already tried to work with the driver so it does not looks issue from the software side. Better show the same to your nearest repair center for the issue. Had you overclocked the card.

No overclocking. It's unchanged.
I was kinda hoping it's still a SW problem.

¿Have you solved the display problem? I have just installed win 7 and i have the same problem with the dispaly. How do you repair it?

Can you tell if you have done any changes on the system? Also let me know which version of the drivers do you have installed?
First of all I wanted to tell you that boot the computer in the safe mode and observe the display of the screen. Second thing you should reinstall the graphic card drivers and if it did not seem to working than you should install the latest version of drivers. Finally there is no change in the situation than you should contact the technical support team to get the further help.
