Am I buying the right PS3 Monitor

I bought a PlayStation 3 and right now for playing games I had plugged my old monitor in that. The monitor does not gives out good output on that. I am planing to buy a new LCD widescreen for my pc support and for PS3 also. Which one will you recommend. I had seen a Samsung 20 inch model for the same. But I am not sure about the other monitors. What points should I keep in mind before buying the same.
