XFX HD 5770 POST Problems.

I recently completed my build, which included the Radeon HD 5770 (1GB). However, my dreams of stunning graphical glory were shattered by the 1 long, and 3 short beeps of the POST.

I know the POST code means its an EGA problem but I just can't figure out how to get it to work. Currently, the only way I can see anything is to use a horrid Asus EAH4350 that steals 1GB of my RAM.

Has anyone got any ideas what the problem is? I'm thinking its a DOA card.

My specs (if it helps) are as follows:

Asus P5Q3 Deluxe MoBo (It supports PCI-e 2.0)
4GB DDR3
Intel 2.66GHz Quad
1KW PSU with the 6-pin connector for the GPU
500GB HDD
Windows 7 Home Premium 64
Also, the BIOS has just been flashed to the latest version.

1 long, and then 3 short beeps is usually caused either by a problem with the video card, or the memory on the video card. It can also be a motherboard issue. You can check out which is causing you the actual problem by swapping your current video card with someone's else. If this doesn't work then perform the same for your motherboard.

I know - I did say I was using an Asus EAH4350 in place of the 5770. The computer works fine with the 4350, so its not the mobo or memory. I was simply wondering if there was a known GPU issue.

You need to take the Video card to the retailer or to the service center. They will check out for the issue and make the desired changes that needs to be implemented in order to make the device to perform well. So check for the aspect and make it function as needed. It will surely let you to get sort of the thing.
