GTX260 Core 216 SLI vs Single

    Hi,
I am looking for some benchmarks and game comparison of GTX360 Core 216 use as single card and as on sli with some other support. I had seem to get some comparison on internet for the card but that too was not so helpful. How to get some information on the same in relation to the different number for games played on the same. Thanks in advance.

The Geforce GTX 260 is similar to the GeForce GTX 280. The only external difference is the power connections. Instead of an eight-and six-pole one needs the GTX 260 only has two six-pole. The current requirement is a maximum of 236 to 183 watts. The reason behind that is instead of 240 shader units as the GTX 280 GTX 260 only has the 192nd In addition, the frequencies were slightly reduced and the evaporation of 512-bit memory interface width to 448 bits wide.

Re: GTX260 Core 216 SLI vs Single

I am using GTX260 on my system with C2D CPU and 2 GB DDR2 support. My motherboard is P35 chipset. In case of Crysis which I played recently the result is 1680x1050 playable 41.8 fps, the GTX 260 is almost equal to 37.5 fps. In the extreme setting of 2560x1600 with anti-aliasing and 16x anisotropic eight times the texture filter wins the GTX 280 significantly to 20.6 to 15.5 frames per second. While only a few play on a 30-inch display.

As a single support I will recommend to have GTX 280. GTX 260 is lot behind in some matter. First, the graphics card with 192 shader units came later to be increased to 216, about the Radeon HD 4870 from ATI improve under control on the market, only a short time. Meanwhile, the Nvidia GT200 GPU has on the 55-nm process shrink (GT200b) and include the one more recently on the GeForce GTX 260. At the same time you have the board layout (PCB) changed several times in order to save costs.

The GeForce GTX 260 is a 55-nm-cards which is one positive points for the same and that makes this card to stand again the competitors in the market. The GeForce GTX 260 and GS GLH is ultimately about as fast as a GeForce GTX his 280th. I believe that if you want to same for some minimal gaming work and support then the support lies enough to you.

The GTX 200 series cards are the slowest in the market. There are much newere models out now. Due to the much higher clock speeds offered by GeForce GTX 260 makes it sell still higher right now. Otherwise there is no worth of same to get a new. But you can implant the same on SLi with a higher GPU support and use the same for better performance.
