3 Monitors 2 Video Cards on Ubuntu.

I have installed an Ubuntu on my desktop computer and the problem is that i am not able to get a setup after upgrading Ubuntu. Main problem is that i can not start X with the 3 Screens and Xinerama set. I have latest Nvidia drivers and even i am getting TwinView on the first card and different X server on an another card. Now TwinView does not maximizes windows properly. Actually TwinView works with the two screens but it is not happening with the three.

I would like to tell you that could it be possible for you to generate a full nvidia-bug-report.log? Actually there is no obvious indication on the configuration file. I think you should try to leave out the metamodes make a difference. I think it is bit complicated to have 3 monitors at a time on an ubuntu operating system but i do not think that it would be impossible.

I have solved this problem i guess and you may try to do the same as i have provided the steps as follows.
    • sudo nvidia-setting
    • checked the ENABLE Xinerama
    • Loged out (Screens now flickers)
    • Run the sudo nvidia-bug-report.sh from another computer.
    • Now edit the sudo vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
    • Change xienerama to 0 instead of 1.

But the problem was still there as screen were still flashing.

Even i want to connect 3 monitors in my Ubuntu system. Actually i believe that it was much easier to use multi-monitor support in Windows. I have tred to install an ATI's proprietary fglrx driver from an official web site of an Ubuntu. But after installing this driver, I was not at all able to X. I got an error about "invalid video BIOS signature" and some other errors as well.

I think there would be something wrong regarding the drivers which you have installed on your computer system. I think you have not installed a latest drivers on your computer. If it is not working with the latest drivers as well then you may try to install an intel drivers for the same which might work in your case as i have seen that it works with Intel drivers as well.
