As i think that 120hz of tv can produce a better picture quality for the standard 24fps movies. In that all the frames are up for the same amount of time as compared to the 60hz TVs. So if you want more quality in regarding to the grater hz then it is important that you choose the best and the latest tv for best picture quality with higher hz. And also if you planning to have a tv more latest than the previous one than you need to spen some money on it.

It is basically depends upon that how many still picture frames will the tv show per second. The more frames will there which can have the smoother motion to look. What i have seen that it looks better in some cases with the average speed of motion, but if it is with fast action then it can make the pictures look boxey in parts of the screen. The 120hz can be turned off and on, and most of the sets with 120hz have a lot more functions to offer with it, from better blacks, colors, and inputs.

I think the best option is to buy the 64hz tv which can be easily available in the market and also if you want then you can find it on the interent. I have a tv which runs on 64hz and till now i haven't got any kind of problem, in regarding to have the best pricture quality then you can also have a hd dvd player which can help you to watch your favorite movie in hd on your 64 hz tv.

The function of the display to use 120Hz on your tv and to have it. The importance of 120Hz is that it can display 24fps film content without inserting extra frames whcih can allow 24fps content to be displayed on the 60fps devices. 120Hz is an multiple of 24 by which you can insert 4 "estimated" frames to "smooth" the content between the frames. Turn it off, and the movies will have "theatre" like feel and if it is on it feels like "video".
