    Can I run a HD 5850 1GB on a 480 watt PSU

I want to know that does it is possible to run a HD 5850 1GB psu on 480 watt PSU.I have a system which is less than a year old. I do not have extra psu upgrade. But to play high-end games I want to add a HD 5850 1GB instead of what I have now. I have a psu support of 383 watts. So it seems to stay enough powerful for the computer.

I would not run it on with the intention of PSU. If your psu is rated at 480w, then its hit the highest point max output at the ideal high temperature is 480, but the standard output is almost certainly approximately 440, possibly less. I imagine the authority supply is the most significant PC element and be supposed to be taken critically. It might take anything with it when it goes. It's up to you, but I would wait till you get an innovative PSU.

I would suggest the Corsair TX650. If you like that video card, do not endeavor to work it with that authority contribute. Put on the market that PSU on Ebay and get yourself a superior 650 watt authority contributes. Ignore online authority contribute calculators as they actually are never accurate. The manufacturer’s necessities are also extremely inaccurate as well. You would essentially desire a 650w or higher with 26 amps on the 12v rail and an 80+ certification for a 5850.

You are getting a diminutive secure to its max. Confident a 650w can work an i7 with two 9800gt in slit additional than a 5850 with a 600w possibly. Go at the forefront and get the card and if the volts on the 12v rail dip beneath 11.4v get an innovative psu. If the psu makes all sorts of eccentric sounds at the same time as in utilize get an innovative on. These are the authority contribute commendation for a complete PC system. I cannot remain to see mechanical reviews with authority expenditure results. I knew the cards were supposed to be additional energy competent than present generation cards.
