    GeForce MX4000 VS MX440

I have Dell desktop computer with configuration AMD Athlon 2850e (512K, L2, 1.8GHz), Integrated ATI Radeon HD3200 Graphics, 4Gb RAM, 256GB HDD, DVD RW and Windows XP. I use my computer for entertainment as well as business purpose. I also access the inter net on daily basis and download many files as well. Most important thing i just love to play all latest games, for this i want to know which of the Nvidia GeForce card is better i.e either GeForce MX4000 or GeForce MX440. Please help me out for this.

    Re: GeForce MX4000 VS MX440

A little bit tricky question to answer. But, my recommendation would be to go with Nvidia GeForce MX440, its better choice. The GeForce MX440 is the better of the two cards you told because, MX440 mainly come with 4NS RAM, so 500Mhz should be easier on the RAM speed, whereas the MX4000 is an shocking card in market. So, definitely the MX440 is better and provides excellent performance. Hope you will be able to solve the problem.

You should firstly benchmark the specified cards with the help of 3DMarks03 and check the results online. According to me there is not much difference between the GeForce MX440 and MX400, they both are one and the same with only difference in chip i.e clock and memory speed are a little different. And nice though to change from Radeon to Nvidia, personally i hate the Radeon cards, they are waste of money. Hope you will be able to choose correct card and get satisfy with it.

    Re: GeForce MX4000 VS MX440

My studies about this both nvidia cards(i.e MX 440 and MX 4000) says that, both of them have very less marginal difference between them, they are almost similar. The MX4000 comes chipset NV18, GPU speed of 275Mhz and AGP speed of 8x, whereas MX440 comes chipset NV17, GPU speed of 270Mhz and AGP speed of 4x. But, main difference when you need to play games, in this race the MX440 is way forward then MX4000. So, according to your requirement you should purchase the GeForce MX440.

According to me, you should but the GeForce MX4000. It is has good performance normal user. The GeForce Mx4000 GPUs, provided by the nvidia is low cost(i.e cost effective), and high performance graphics to the value PC user. Also this cards provides very rich graphics as well as flexibility and performance. This card is will satisfy you if you just want to get graphics or do internet surfing, but, you are very hardcore gamer then go for MX440. Hope your problem get fix.

    Re: GeForce MX4000 VS MX440

My personal suggestion would be to go with the GeForce4 MX440, it has excellent performance. This card represents one of nvidia’s latest middle ranged budget oriented Graphics cards. The feature provided by this card is AGP 4X compatible with fast writes , 256-bit 3D and 2D graphics accelerator, Dual Integrated 350MHz DACs, High Definition Video Processing Engine and Lightspeed Memory Architecture II. This are enough features to opt the GeForce MX440 card. Hope your problem get solve.
