I am a big fan of LG monitors, they have excellent quality of resolution/video output. Just love it. I known one of the LG monitor which widely and popular known for gaming purpose and the product name is LG W2286L. It 22-inch series monitor that features a new LED backlight display. Gamers will get satisfactory by the deep blacks produced by the monitor when gaming and the response times of 2ms will help keep motion blur to a minimum. It also has features of auto-brightness sensor to adjust the brightness, so when you playing games in the early morning hours, it adjust according to it. It will cost you between $210 to $ 240

According to me you should go for HP (Hewlett-Packard) LP2275w. This would come within your budget also and has excellent features. This HP LCD monitor is 22inch and resolutions to 1680 x 1050. It has very comfortable viewing position with wider viewing angles, and height adjustment, tilt, swivel. The colors of this monitor are excellent because of its S-PVS panel. Response time is 6 ms and contrast ratio is 1000:1. And this will cost you around $280, it also includes 3 years of warranty. Hope so you can fix the problem.
