ATI Radeon 300 Monitor does not wake up in windows 7

I am using Windows 7 running on my computer which has an ATI Radeon 300 video card. And card has been connected to two monitor connectors, one is VGA and other one is DVI. As I am using two monitors, First is a 19" monitor connected to the DVI, and second is a 15" monitor connected to the VGA port. The primary monitor is the one connected to DVI. Now when go for some work then windows 7 goes to sleep but then even if i try to wake it up, it does not works. Where other one is working properly.

As you said that you have connected two monitors to the one card. Then it may happen that one of your monitor would no be supported by the driver you are using with your card. Do the following steps to install the correct driver on your windows 7.
    1. Choose Properties of the exe. file by right clicking on it.
    2. Go to the Compatibility tab, Then tick mark on the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and choose "Windows Vista".
    3. Then select “Run this program as an Administrator”.
    4. Press OK to save the settings which you have changed.
    5. Do the functions as instructed to install the driver.
After installing the fresh driver, never forget to restart your computer.

I think there would be some connection problem because by the same card your another monitor is working just perfectly. You may try interchanging the monitors that you have connected. I mean to say connect your primary computer to the secondary and put your secondary one on to the primary. Then see that is it happening with the 15" monitors also or not. If it is behaving in the same way then definitely your card would be having some serious problem.

There are many users of Windows 7 whose having the different kind of drivers problems. Here also it seems something like that only. But you can try installing the sound driver from the windows Vista or XP driver cd. And you can do the same for video driver also. Because it has happened many times that windows 7 drivers would not be working on windows 7 but the same driver of xp or vista may gets working.
