ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 Black Screen

I just bought a new video card called ATI Mobility Radeon 9000. It came with a few new ports as well, but after installing that i get black screen while playing game. Some time i not get any signal on monitor. Does anyone know what causes this issue and how to fix it?Any help will be extremely appreciated.

Can you get into the BIOS with radeon 9000 card and see if there are any options relevant to using your card instead of say, the onboard graphics controller? Or possibly have another machine you could try the card in?

Did you try putting your old graphics card back in to see if that still works? or You may have to remove the new card and use your onboard video to change some settings. If old graphics not works, then there could be a problem with your monitor or your motherboard since you can't even see anything in safe mode.

If you're going to actually use extra graphics card you'll need the extra one to have it's own onboard bios. Disable the on-board graphics by going in the BIOS and then try again and make sure that the motherboard supports the graphics card. You may have to boot OS in safe mode to install card drivers.
