    ASUS VH232H 23" monitor

New owner of the above monitor and trying to adjust it so that my round images don't look like footballs and my people don't look like dwarfs. I can find nothing that is changing the proportions and need suggestions/help. I'm using VGA hookup and Windows XP fully updated except for IE8.

HAve you tried to change your resolution. RIght click on your desktop, select properties, then settings and move slider to far to the right, this should fix your problem, if not try to update your graphic driver

Mine is already as far right as it will go. I think I know what the problem is now. It appears all of the settings are approximately 4:3. Would updating the graphics driver change that and allow me to use a 16:9 setting?

I think yes, it should allow, also your monitor should support 16:9 display ratio... Try it out though and post back...

    Re: ASUS VH232H 23" monitor

Thanks all for your help. The problem is with the video card being too old and not being able to be updated. No problem as I will be upgrading for Windows 7 after Jan 1.

Another question: Did you all get a CD in your package with the Monitor? I didn't and when I asked the retailer about it I was told that all that was on the CD was the phone numbers to contact Asus. I don't think they gave me the correct answer and would like to know if there was one and what was really on it before I start raising !@#@#$.

    Thanks,
