If you compare Radeon X1300 Pro and Radeon X1600 XT Physically both cards are so very close, the PCB is roughly the same. Red and PCI-Express cards are single-slot and require no electrical connection. The cooling system employed by ATI is made of a copper covering the VPU, and topped with a radiator, itself complemented by a turbine fan. The description is eloquent enough to understand all that is particularly noisy, unfortunately the same like as Radeon X700 XT.

The Radeon X1300 and X1600 are not yet fully supported by the usual tools for overclocking. Try to overclock with with a beta version 9 ATITool or higher Regarding the Radeon X1300 Pro it could reach without too many problems the 675 MHz frequency VPU original against a frequency of 600 MHz an increase of 12%. However overclocking the memory has not worked at all the lower frequency exceeding 400 MHz resulting in a crash of ATITool. The Radeon X1600 XT is more likely to exercise and here you can smoothly pass the VPU 590 to 670 MHz increase of 13%, while i have been able to raise the memory frequency of 35 MHz . Suddenly, the memory bandwidth increases, the gain provided by the overclocking is much more interesting than the X1300 Pro

The 3D Mark 2005 score rises from 4169 to 4757, which corresponds to a very nice increase of 14%. There are gains in the best games 17% in Doom III and 19% in FEAR and so much more! These benefits correct overclocking do not forget to make the scores too low in games
