How far should I sit from my 15 inch computer screen

    hello friends,

I have a 15-inch LCD screen. Now-a-days when I sit in front of my computer, my eyes are really straining and starts burning after few hours. Can anybody please suggest me what should be the distance between the computer screen and the human-eyes. How far should I sit from my 15 inch lcd monitor ?

    kindly suggest...... thanks a lot

I am using 17 inch lcd monitor in my office and I think I am normally sitting at the distance of around 60 to 75 cms. For your 15 inch lcd monitor, I think 45 - 50 cms should be perfect distance..

I think your resolution settings may be very high. This is the most common reasons of eyes-straining.

Adjust your brightness and contrast settings to the lowered value say around 45 to 70. You should feel extremely comfortable and pleased with the text and images when you look at your monitor.

Do not sit very close to the computer. Keep enough distance between you and the computer screen. If you have spectacles, kindly wear them while sitting on a computer.
