No signal on ACER AL2423W lcd monitor

I'm having a ACER AL2423W lcd monitor. The problem is that i'm not able to get any kind of signal on my ACER AL2423W lcd monitor. It doesn't display any kind of pictures on it and it only shows "no signal" screen on it. So can any body tell me that how do i get rid of the above issue? What can i do to get rid of "no signal" on my ACER AL2423W lcd monitor? Does any body knows about it? Kindly help me out to resolve the above issue.

I think you need to use the VGA connection for a while in order to see if that really resolves the matter. According to me it seems to be that the problem might be with the DVI port or cable, but not sure about it. Just try to connect a direct VGA connection to your and check out whether it works.

I think the correct method would be to examine the original EDID under DVI, and try to make sure that it supports HDCP, because some monitors do not supports and then determine why it did not display the native resolution correctly on your system.

Also check out that the cord which goes directly into the computer is been plugged tightly and also check out whether the cord has no cuts or stretches on it.
