Sometimes restarting the computer helps as it comes up with a message saying new hardware found and then you go through the walkthrough or system restore would be the best way to recover it. Other than that right click desktop, click properties, settings, advanced and adapter may help.
Go to start menu then go to all program files select accessories then system tools and choose the system restore icon. If you click on this icon it will not delete any sysytem data or it will restore changed system files like drivers. if still there is problem of driver go to manufacturers website and download driver from their sites.
There is another way to recover your driver fo graphics card. First go to your computer's manufacture site (so if you computer is a Dell go to dell.com) and search for "drivers". Then it will ask to you to put PC model type and operating system that you're running (vista or xp). Then find the video driver you're looking for, download the .exe and install it. Reboot.
