Hey!
Heating of electonic components is common. And it is not a problem untill its under warranty. If the monitor heats more then normal then you have some problems with it, but yeah monitor gets way too hot...

For how much time do you keep your monitor ON? If you are checking after long time, then it is obvious that it will get heated up coz it is also just another electronic device and will show heating symptoms after long and continuous use. It is not harmful as long as it is not creating problems with the device. For like if your monitor starts flickering or darkening or color fading or any such problems, then it may be due to too much heating. If no such problems, then it is not a worrying factor.

You dont need to worry to much i think the most of Tube Monitors produce a lot of heat. Its kike your TV set, touch the back of Your tv after few hour

Don't Worry !!!! I have 2 Samsung LCD monitors in my offfice.....they both becomes hot sometimes after starting them......I think it's normal with all these computer and electronics items
