Hello , If Your Video card has both the port than running dual monitors with VGA and DVI is supported. Once you've connected both monitors most graphic cards with automatically detect the second display and prompt you for an action to perform (enable the second monitor, choose resolution, set display mode, etc.).You may choose to clone the displays - giving you the same image on both monitors - or extend the second monitor on your desktop. NB. If you'll be playing video on your TV you can usually setup a "theater mode" where you can control the video on the PC monitor and view the movie in full-screen on the TV

Re: Using both VGA and DVI ports Output

Hello , It may Happen that Your Card can support only 1 display. The reason for 2 ports on those older cards was to give you the option of VGA or DVI, not both. Dual display cards came later. You need to Check of Your Graphic card Support Using both the Port at a same time if not then You'll need to add a PCI video card or get a newer card that supports dual displays.

Re: Using both VGA and DVI ports Output

Hello , Almost all late-model cards made within the last three years with a VGA and a DVI port (or two DVI ports) will do this. Radeon 9xxx and above, nVidia FX5xxx and above, and all PCI-e cards. So You can Use Both the output at the same time Without any problems
