Crossfire 4870x2 + 4870 on Asus rampage II extreme

    hello friends!

Now I've just installed my new pc, everything is top I'm delighted. Unfortunately I have a concern and I wanted to seek advice from experts On the rampage 2 extreme, there is at upper left, a power supply connector 8 pins (2x4 actually)

I plugged the 1010 W foxtron above but with only 4 pins connector (because the power supply does not have the form of pins suitable for 8 pins) I want to connect a 4870 on the second PCIE port. the food has everything needed for connections

but I asked a question about this famous port 8 pins on the motherboard. should I buy an adapter power supply? to feed the 2 gfx correctly? is this necessary? or is it just for the overclock cpu? thank you

(in this case, any way I should buy it because I intend to overclock, but where to find an adapter? 4> 8 pins or 6 pins PCIE> 8 cm for the pines.

    Thank you for your help

    Hi,
Have you tried simply putting your monitor cable to different DVI port? Do you have the 4870X2 or the 4870 in the top PCIE slot? do you have the monitor cable connected to the top card?

That is exactly what the reference of your power supply?

Otherwise, we should not confuse connectors 4 or 8 pins motherboard connector and 6 or 8 pins PCI-E graphics card. Anyway, it does not go I think there should be pins I think to avoid any errors.

    Motherboard:
If you have 2 pins connector 4 CPU, it is the same as CPU connector 8 pins except that they are just split into 2 groups of 4 pins, but if you have a single 4 CPU pins, it works also, the CPU pins 8 provides better stability to your motherboard (mainly CPU overclocking).

    Graphics:

Here is the connectors 6 or 8 pins PCI-E which are valid for your power Graphics card.

If you miss it a connector 8 pins for your Radeon X2, you have this type of cable that you plugged into your power supply on one side (4-pin molex plug) and the other side, you have the 8 pins PCI-E to power your graphics card:
