GTX285 - BIOS Fanspeed IC without effect?

    hi,
i have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285,What surprised me, unfortunately: possible modifications in the BIOS Fanspeed IC show no effect, specifically the "min. Duty cycle." That I had in my GTX260 and my GTX280 each successful the noise level from the default 40% to 25% ...
    What can I do?

    hi,
Is unfortunately normal. Most GTX 285 can not be below 40% no matter what rules you set. Exceptions are as far as I know, but the cards from Asus. Even the BIOS on it, according to the developer of NIBITOR.

The Gainward 285 Dual-Fan, I have found a trick with the fan up to 25% can draw down (30% is already with the expert tool) and still automatic fan control can activate.

The fan is so then to 25% and under load goes high. In Crysis, the fan to 43%.

I have the NVidia driver 182.46 XP32 and RivaTuner 2.24. You put in the Driver in RivaTuner the fan settings to "direct" 25%. Then you go into expert tool and enabled automatic fan control. And already, the fan at 25% and increases in demand. When you reboot, but the setting is gone and the fan is back at 40%.

Revert to auto fan speed in Precision software apply and close it. Start RivaTuner v2.22, as well the curren latest version and open hardware monitoring which you get to via target adapter abnd using customize. Scroll down hardware monitoring to see fan duty cycle and fan speed, and noticed duty cycle is at 40% with the fan speed as 1358rpm.
