    ASUS EAH4850HD crashes

My video card turns off the computer even if I do not use. I have the computer all of the power out, wait and again before the video does it again. A If I do a soft reset I get 1 long beep and 4 short, and according to my manual indicates the absence of a GPU.

    Does anyone have a suggestion?

    My configuration

    ASUS P6T Deluxe,
    Core i7 system
    ASUS EAH4850HD.
    Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bits.
Driver: ATI Radeon 9.2 (64-bit) including Catalyst Control Center (CCC).

Is it possible to test the system with another video card? You get in that case the same problem? My first idea is next to a faulty video card may also be a defective motherboard.

    Re: ASUS EAH4850HD crashes

Now I have the ATI 9.2 driver installed without Catalyst Control Center (9-2_vista64_dd_75977.exe) and I'm half hours at my PC away and it is again, the screen flashes no signal and get computer with no possibility up and running.

I have all power saving options off in Vista. Does anyone know whether it is better to ATI 9.2 driver installed (9-2_vista64_dd_75977.exe) or the driver via the ASUS site (ati8561_Vista64.zip)? I always thought it was better to install an ATI driver?

    Thank you for thinking

The problem manifests itself still. I support a call made by ASUS , see what it brings. Results reported here.

ASUS shows that I can send it RMA, but I have no sense in relating bad experiences with RMAs to 4Launch (long period).

I feel that it is still a firmware / driver issue, so I tried something else:
    • ASUS driver uninstalled
    • Boot safe mode with driver sweeper scrap ATI driver removal
    • Registry cleaning with TuneUp 2009
    • ati8561_Vista64 installed without the Catalyst Control Center
    • SmartDoc535 installed and fanspeed 100% forced
    • Direct X 9C (9.25.1476) installed
    • Philips amBX disconnected and uninstalled drivers
