Problem: ASUS A8N-E and 9600GT graphics card

I have a small problem with a rather old motherboard, the ASUS A8N-E. So far it runs under a Enermax 425W-NT with an AMD 64 3200 + and a Gainward 7600GT easily. Remain installed 2GB Kingston RAM and a hard drive and an IDE burner. Bios is on the "latest" state (1013).

Now I have time a 9600GT from PNY purchased for a little more graphics power to get. The computer runs, it beeps 1x as usual and then 3x short, I get a picture, however, does not appear, although the computer hard disk noise after the judging, as usual, goes high.

Obviously, I have the power from correctly associated with the graphics card. The card itself works perfectly well in a test system of the merchant, on the can so it does not lie.

I have therefore suspect that the motherboard possibly could, so I also write this sub-forum. Has anyone in connection with similar graphics cards and motherboard that already has experience or a tips on what it possibly could, I would be very grateful.

Your board only has AGP 8x but you will need for the 9600er a 16x PCIe bus .
You buy a cheap AM2 board and you can use the map

The board has PCI-E, the other would fit inside ned.

    CMOs reset time.

Beepcode after the judging, it means that was not recognized.

The skin is not completely out. Has already have a PCIe slot, which was also 7600er PCIe. Each case should be an AM2 board does not solve the problem, because I then also the processor (socket is currently 939) and memory (which is even easier DDR) switch should be in the end what I really wanted to avoid. Basically, there should be only for the upgrade of the card go.

In my experience, the A8N unfortunately with some PCI-e 2.0 graphics cards incompatible ...

If the CMOS reset (with the right battery out and jumper changed to 30s) brings nothing, then kanst you forget the card.
