Cannot Recognise New GFX 9500GT Video Card

I recently bought a new Nvidia Geforce GFX 9500GT DDR3 512mb video card. I have a Intel core 2 4400 D946GZIS motherboard. I was very much excited to work this configuration. I made video card seated on the motherboard and turned on my computer. As comming to main screen after login, it didnot provided any mesage saying new hardware. Then i searched in bios and no display of my new video card.

Please provide some opinion regarding this issue

    your opinion will be appreciated

Do you have the chipset driver (e.g. Intel, VIA, SIS etc.) for your
motherboard installed? It should be on a CDROM that came with the system or
motherboard. If the system is a large OEM like Dell or HP you may have to go
to their website to download it. You could also go to the chipset
manufacturer's site and download the latest driver.

Was it the AGP (GART) Driver that you installed? This is needed for
Windows to work properly with the AGP slot on your motherboard. You can find it here on the motherboard manufacturer's web site.

Also try to search for updated version of the driver as it will help you video card performance as well as your motherboard performance too

    1. Power off system and ensure the card is properly seated and fully seated in its appropriate slot.
    2. Does the card require a separate power source, check it inside the manual? If so is it plugged in and if not then try doing it?
    3. What is the system usage currently, new card or onboard available card? If it's selecting onboard graphics, Enter the system bios and disable the onboard graphics. It works for many in these cases. If it's using new video card, try with the swapping of cards. It might be a corrupt slot and not the card that may causing the real problems.

    • Turn off and disconnect the computer.
    • Open it up and take out the graphics card.
    • Re-Seat (re-install) the graphics card in the pci-express slot
    • Disconnect and reconnect any power/fan/cables you have going to the graphics card.
    • Restart computer and update drivers from Nvidia.com
