    what is crossfire and crossfireX

such as the title already says I want gladly know what is the difference between crossfire and crossfireX.

I at the term list and stands there the following has already looked at:

    Crossfire

This is ATI's answer on the SLI technique of nVidia. With this technology able it are put you to use to 4 video cards in one computer. At Crossfire it is meanwhile no longer necessary two the same have video cards to be able use this technique.

here stands that at crossfire it is meanwhile possible 2 different use cards, what is then the difference between crossfire and crossfireX?

and further what is the speed difference between 2 8x lanes and 2, 16x lanes.

    thank you for reply ..

CrossfireX supported several cards and mixed play cards, i.e. at ATI 3850 and ATI 4870

it must from the same range plays cards HD4xxx and plays cards from HD3xxx. 2x 16 lanes are more rapidly these are frequently on X38 and X48 chip set and P35 and P45 is 2x 8 Lanes if I have it well.
