Geforce 8800 Graphics card problem

Hi,
i have this very serious problem , When i start up my pc the screen flashing on startup, i checked every hardware connection, everything is fine. I have vista basic pack 1 with AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ , 512mb ram. but I wonder if there is a conflict with my old card (integrated into the motherboard).

There can be a problem of power supply, or a driver problem, begin with vga mode, just press f8 during the slow startup of the PC and choose vga mode, if it works is that if this continues then it must be a power supply problem.

GeForce 8800 GS is an entry level, therefore no power issues, I suggest you to update the driver of your card. Here is what I thinkLevel RAM and graphics card for vista, is limited. Maybe the graphics card has problems of which opens a pop-up on the desktop.

It is possible that what you consider a problem is not really one. Indeed, every time I start the configuration tool for NVIDIA drivers, the screen goes black a tenth of a second, . Or, Although it runs on every boot, it could explain your blinking. This is normal, not worry!
Regarding the flashing at the connection of new equipment, could you be more specific ? What type of equipment ?
