Graphics card for my intel core2duo E6600

My 7900GT starts to make a little face on the recent games of the type FarCry2, Crysis etc . It happens that I have a C2D E6600 and I play in 1280x1024 -17 "require that I replace it but probably a 22 or 24" within a short time. but instead of changing my processor i would like to change my graphics card. any suggestion will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

The E6600 is still in the belly, at worst a small to overclock too. If you think moving towards a 22 ", a HD4850 will do, however if it is a 24", directs you to the HD4870. If you plan to take a 22 "and a config one chouille more permanent, then took the HD4870.

    Ok, I take note.
If I point me to the HD4870, is not it better that I not take a direct GTX260 + a bit more expensive? (provided that my CPU obv takes the road, and the Overclocking can may be a little tight with my intel radbox).

Another question, all the cards they fall into a medium turn T CoolerMaster Centurion CAC-05? I have not measured, but my gigabyte 7900GT is still quite close to the HD cage, and it seems to me that all these maps are significantly longer.

The E6600 is usually a 2.8 Ghz without increasing the voltage (see +). I am a 2.7Ghz, rest a 31 ° and 58 ° with the load ventirad home. A 2.8Ghz I do almost no time. The HD4870 is about 24cm. remains the most sure of yourself by measuring the length in your lap.

A 7900GT & HD4870 is not the same size already comparing my 7900GTX & GT was still 2 / 3 cm difference. Then the HD4870 over the bench in the GTX260.
Must either take HD4870 or GTX280, perfs price: HD4870.
