HP DV2000 Laptop goes Blank screen with No Video

Hi there...

I have a HP dv2000 notebook. It is having strange problems. When i turned on the latop suddenly i saw, green, red, and yellow colors flashed all over the screen. I turned the laptop off, waited for a few minutes, and tried it back on. This time, the screen remained totally blank, but a continuous beeping sound was observed by me. I again turned off, waited for few minutes, and turned on. This time, there was no beeping sound, but the laptop screen remains blank with no video.

Please help me ........
i don't know it a screen damage or system crash ............
please provide your views on it...........

Try this one:

Eject the battery. If you can get to it, also eject the internal battery too.
Check that internal battery's voltage, probably it should be 3V. Put it back in if it's good and restart the system. Sometimes just pulling all the batteries out can reset a locked up mobo.

If that doesn't do it, try removing the HDD and restart. Are there any
mini-PCI cards attached under doors on the bottom of the machine? Pull them
out and try again.

connect the laptop to an external monitor to check if it is

if it is then show your laptop to a technician as it can be a screen display problem.
