    LCD Monitor

I want to buy 17/19" LCD Monitor and am considering Viewsonic & LG. Are they better than Dell/Samsung etc?

    Please suggest some good brands.

    Re: LCD Monitor

I have my personal experience that I use a Dell FP1907 at my office and I feel the Viewsonic is sharper and more vibrant. Its ergonomics is also a bit more stable than Dell but lacks USB hub for those that care. Compared to Dell, the black is not as black on the Viewsonic . However, the black level is still better than my old Dell trinitron 17" CRT when I run them side-by-side. I don't stare at black backgrounds all day, and in contrast to colors the black seems black enough to me.

    hi
both LG and view sonic is good ..but lg bit costly than viewsonic and lg has 5year warranty where view sonic has 3year..well the effort of samsung looks more in style so Samsung is looks is good but not more pouler than lg and view sonic in market .well also check out for service center..

    Re: LCD Monitor

I have been travelling and couldn't respond to this earlier.

I have 17" CRT Monitor (Acer) and the main reason I want an LCD is to reduce eye strain. I have shortlisted Samsung, Dell & Acer. I am not keen on purchasing Viewsonic monitor because of reviews that their support is bad. Is it so?

    For samsung, I am considering 732/733Nw (17") & 932nw (19"). Budget is Rs. 9k/-.

I want to get the new monitor today so please suggest if I should look for some other model or samsung ones are good enough.
