The manufacturer Sapphire would go to prepare a new graphics card based on the architecture of the Radeon HD 4870.
Dubbed Radeon HD 4870 1GB Toxic, the card has 1GB of onboard memory GDDR5 bit operating in 256 against 512 MB for the reference model. 800 stream processors, engraved in 55 nanometers, are clocked to 780 MHz (750 MHz against). The card has two power connectors PCI-Express x16, two DVI outputs and supports CrossFireX.
The card has two heat sinks Vapor-X technology using the steam room (VCT) and three copper heatpipes, an area renowned for its efficiency in heat dissipation.
Note that Sapphire had already collaborated on the production of the reference model from ATI. The Radeon HD 4870 1GB Toxic should be available in the coming weeks for a price still unknown.
