Radeon X700 Multiple Driver Installation

i have this same problem with an ati made x700 pro. odd thing is i dont have sp3 installed or any new patches as i had no net for about 6 months. i started getting bsod's that mentioned the ati driver, so i uninstalled and reinstalled from a the same copy of the drivers that i had used before and had been running perfect for a year. then the device started multiplying in device manager. 3 reformats later no luck. oddly enough it did work fine during one of the installs from an illicit xp pro sp2 build i have, unfortunately the external drive with all of my backups would not so i had to reformat again and now the problem persists. I'm hoping there is some seed of hope in that build. it was an unattended install that automatically installed the drivers and it worked. im gonna try to isolate those drivers on the disk and see if i can get it to run. if not then im thinking its planned obsolesence and they designed the cards to die about the same time? hope the no net thing helps isolate the problem.

I did a lot hard work to fix the card. This is basically due to incompatibility with the chipset drivers. You can try to fix the same out till you get good drivers for the card. For that what I did is, first clean install the card. That means check the compatibility with your motherboard. You must have appropriate power supply also to run the card, as you know that cpu consumes more power. I had run Driver Cleaner Pro to get me the most appropriate drivers.
