Need advice on which monitor to buy

    Hi,
Santa Claus is comming early this year to me with a new good looking widescreen to replace my old crapy viewsonic vx924.
Need an alround screen that can handle fast games like crysis, farcry, cod and doom2 but also racinggames like carmageddon and interstate76.
I also look alot on movies(no 720/1080 material) and also sits in windows reading.
I spend alot of time infront of the monitor so need one that isnt aggressive on the eyes in any way.
The screen will be mounted onto an arm(with pivot-function) through the vesa-mount and hooked up to an ati hd4850 graphicscard and possibly to my reserve computer through vga.
I have no need for hdmi hdcp usb audio.

What is the difference with using a 1680*1050 22inch screen and a 1920*1080 21.5inch screen?
Which brand has the best pixelpolicy today?
Which screen have the least amount of broken pixels?
Which screen have the least amount of rma?
Any difference in text/image qualty when the display is pivoted?
Which screen will serve me best for the next 3-4 years?

Im currently looking at these 4.

    Asus VW222U

Regards and an early happy christmas

I think you should go for Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW. My friend having one and its really cool monitor to use. And of course Samsung is the one of the best brand in today's monitor market. Difference between 1680*1050 22inch screen and a 1920*1080 21.5inch screen is simple more screen resolution means more good display quality. And today any of the monitors comes at least with 4-5 years warranty so don't worry if u'll handle well they will serve you better for next 3-4 years. Good luck
